The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has released Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 30-2026, extending the deadline for filing 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns to May 15, 2026. The extension also covers the payment of corresponding taxes and the submission of all required attachments.
According to Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza, the extension follows the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and aims to ease the burden on taxpayers, particularly as many continue to face challenges brought about by the ongoing energy crisis.
Taxpayers may submit their returns through the BIR’s electronic filing systems and settle payments via accredited online channels, or opt for manual filing and payment through Authorized Agent Banks.
